What values of yours have remained the same?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 18, 2008:

The one great value my parents were able to instill within me that has lasted my entire life and will never change is the care and respect of animals and nature.  I love that I love animals :)

I love animals too…my partner has a lovely bull terrier/whippet cross called Poppy….I resisted the lessons she had to give me in terms of unconditional love and forgiveness for a long time, hiding behind the intellectual rationale of cupboard love and pack survival mentality, but, once these are dropped and i am face to face with the bare impact of her qualities, however ethologically explicable, I melt into a space where i can be inspired by how she is with me and intensify my values of respect-for-others accordingly

I am also inspired by the trees and grass and plants….they are being just what they are without pretense….
